LAKELAND, Fla. – A Lakeland man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder after allegedly stabbing his wife to death.
On Tuesday morning, police responded to a 911 call from 50-year-old Deljie Tyson, who reported stabbing his wife, 46-year-old Sandra Green, during an altercation at their home on North Fork Drive.
Officers arrived to find Green on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds to her upper body. Two knives and a handgun were found nearby, although the gun appeared to be unused. Tyson also had a stab wound on his arm and a cut on his finger.

Emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, and both Green and Tyson were transported to Lakeland Regional Health. Tragically, Green succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Medical professionals determined she had suffered over 20 stab wounds.
Tyson was treated for minor injuries and taken into custody. He was subsequently charged with second-degree murder with a weapon.
