Lakeland Fire Department Responds To Ledger Pallet Fire

LAKELAND, FL. – On Monday, Lakeland Fire Department responded to a fire at The Ledger building in downtown Lakeland.

According to officials, firefighters were dispatched to a fire call at The Ledger building downtown at W Lime Street with a plume of black smoke visible from Station 1.

Crews located the fire in an outside storage area for plastic pallets upon arrival.

“The pallets were fully involved with flame impingement to 3 vehicles parked adjacent to the pallets,” said Lakeland Fire Department officials.

Crews extinguished the fire without incident, cooled the exterior of the building and vehicles, and checked for hot spots. The fire was found to be unintentional, and there were no injuries.
