POLK COUNTY, Fla. – It seems like Brad Shaw, 20, and Morgan Drye, 18, of Lakeland, were hoping for an early morning game of hide-and-seek. Unfortunately for them, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office wasn’t in the mood to play.
Caught cruising in a stolen silver 2017 Ford Focus, the duo’s attempt at a quick getaway on foot was swiftly thwarted by Deputy Oestreich and her four-legged partner, K9 Ace.

Their chosen hiding spot? Some bushes on Leola Avenue, conveniently behind a fence clearly marked “No Trespassing,” adding insult to injury.
The pair now faces a slew of charges including grand theft motor vehicle, burglary, and resisting.

Brad even gets a bonus charge for violating his probation – which, ironically, was for grand theft motor vehicle.
