LAKE WALES, Fla. – A 29-year-old Lake Wales woman sought in connection with the theft of a 32-gallon water well last month was taken into custody by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning.
Deputies say Tawnya Michelle Vega was arrested at a residence in Camp Mack, nearly a month after the alleged crime occurred on March 17th. Authorities had also identified 55-year-old Michael Vega as a suspect in the same incident.
Michael Vega was previously arrested on March 19th and faces charges of Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Petit Theft in connection with the stolen water well.

Tawnya Vega had remained at large until Friday, when deputies located and apprehended her.
She was transported to the Polk County Jail and booked on charges mirroring those of Michael Vega: Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Petit Theft.
Additionally, Vega was served with an outstanding warrant for Failure to Pay Child Support.
