FROSTPROOF, Fla. – A quick-thinking resident and a determined K9 led to the arrest of a burglary suspect in Frostproof on Sunday morning.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began around 10:35 a.m. when a man arrived at a residence near 11th Street and Harrell Avenue and heard someone inside. Realizing no one should be in the home, he called 911.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies responded to the scene. As they arrived, the suspect briefly appeared at a door before slamming it shut and fleeing out the other side of the house on a bicycle.
