The victim was transported to the hospital and, after receiving intensive care, is expected to recover.
An investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect, 49-year-old Jamie Lydell Bibbs, had been involved in a verbal altercation over $4 used to purchase crack cocaine. The argument escalated into a physical fight, during which Bibbs allegedly pulled out a knife and attacked the victim.
Following the incident, a warrant was issued for Bibbs’ arrest. With assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Bibbs was located and apprehended at a Lake Wales residence on Tuesday, February 18th.
