POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County has announced the closure of the Lake Hancock Boat ramp until further notice.

The closure is a precautionary measure in response to elevated water levels in the lake and upstream areas caused by Tropical Storm Debby.

The boat ramp, located off US Highway 98, will remain closed until water levels recede and conditions are deemed safe for boaters.
