LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – William Scott Fogg, 37, of Altoona, Florida, has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Fogg’s extensive criminal history includes eight state felony convictions since 2008, making it illegal for him to own or possess firearms.
Despite this, on August 28, 2023, Fogg entered his girlfriend’s truck, where she was sitting with her minor children, and took her loaded handgun. He then threatened to shoot her, the children, and himself. Thankfully, deputies arrived and apprehended Fogg, recovering the loaded firearm.
