WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Looks like someone’s margarita nights are getting a little out of hand! Winter Haven Police are on the lookout for a group of women who seem to have developed a taste for expensive tequila – without the pesky step of paying for it.
First, they hit Orange Wine & Liquor on August 27th, employing the classic “distract the clerk while we stuff our bags” maneuver. Four bottles of Don Julio, worth a cool $255, vanished.
Then, on September 3rd, one of the tequila bandits (sporting a new head covering) decided to go solo at Winter Wine & Liquor. Two more bottles disappeared into a plastic bag, and when the clerk tried to play hero, she got a shove for her trouble.
