Known Bloods Gang Member In Minnesota Gets 46 Months For Firearm Possession

Obuatawan Leon Holt, also known as “Bone,” has been sentenced to 46 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for possessing firearms as a felon, United States Attorney Andrew M. Luger announced.

According to court documents, on November 16, 2021, officers from the Minneapolis Police Department searched Holt’s residence in connection with a firearms investigation.

Holt, 48, a known member and associate of the Minneapolis Bloods street gang, was found in possession of four firearms: two Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistols, one CZ Arms semi-automatic pistol, and one Rock Armory semi-automatic pistol.

Due to multiple prior felony convictions, including a federal drug trafficking conviction, Holt is prohibited under federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition.

On February 29, 2024, Holt pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm as a felon. He was sentenced yesterday in U.S. District Court by Judge Susan Richard Nelson.

This case resulted from an investigation conducted by the FBI, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Minnesota Department of Corrections, and the Minneapolis Police Department.
