A Kissimmee woman has been sentenced to over three years in federal prison for her role in an international gun smuggling operation. Chrissie Fier Williams, 39, pleaded guilty to smuggling firearms internationally on five separate occasions between January 2021 and October 2022.

According to court documents, Williams concealed firearms and components within packages containing household items, which were then shipped to Trinidad and Tobago. The smuggled items included parts for AR-15 rifles, Glock pistols, and an AK-47 rifle.

The investigation revealed that Williams sent the weapons to recipients in Trinidad and Tobago using the US Postal Service.

The discovery of the gun smuggling scheme was made when packages containing firearms were intercepted by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in Miami.

The investigation involved collaboration between Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Amanda Daniels.
