Key West Man Arrested For Stealing Car From Stock Island Business

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A Key West man is facing charges after allegedly stealing a car from a Stock Island business earlier this week.

Daniel Christopher Gomez, 34, was arrested Thursday and charged with grand theft auto.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when a Ford Thunderbird sedan was reported stolen from Shifting Gears, a business located on Stock Island. The Key West Police Department located the vehicle parked on Riviera Drive in Key West with Gomez behind the wheel.

Gomez was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
