Key Largo Man, Teen Arrested By Monroe County Sheriff’s Office For Car Burglary

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 20-year-old and a 17-year-old have been arrested in connection with a car burglary reported on January 19, 2025, on Lignumvitae Drive in the Upper Keys.

Anthony Xavier Vera, 20, of Key Largo, and the 17-year-old, also from Key Largo, are both charged with burglary and theft. The victim’s vehicle was left unlocked, and a pair of headphones valued at approximately $333 was stolen.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into other car burglaries in the area and additional charges may be pending against the two individuals.
