A 39-year-old Kentucky man, Jeremiah Brown, has been indicted after allegedly threatening to kill his girlfriend and choking her until she lost consciousness during an argument over Pop-Tarts.

According to Fox 56, Kentucky State Police responded to a domestic violence call at Appalachian Regional Hospital back on February 16th.

The victim told troopers that she and Brown had gotten into an argument about Pop-Tarts, during which he threatened her with a knife, threw the knife down, and then choked her, saying, “I’m going to kill you.”

The victim also claimed Brown choked her until she blacked out, then dragged her to the door and threw her out of the house, injuring her knee.

Troopers noted visible injuries on her knee and neck. Brown was arrested and charged in February with first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree domestic assault causing minor injury but was released on bond the next day.

In June, a grand jury indicted Brown, issuing a new arrest warrant last week. He is currently in custody at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
