It was a sigh of relief following last Saturday’s loss to SMU when interim coach Daniel Da Prato indicated Katravis Marsh had full movement in his extremities and was upbeat.

Katravis Marsh, USF Quarterback, Is Recovering From Neck Surgery

Katravis Marsh, USF’s quarterback, was released from Tampa General Hospital on Monday. This came a day after he had a successful neck operation Monday. Interim coach Daniel Da Prato stated that Marsh was now recovering.

Marsh sustained the injury in the fourth quarter during Saturday’s 41-23 defeat to SMU. was taken off the field in an ambulance and transported to the hospital.

Da Prato stated that Marsh is in great spirits and will make a full recovery. Marsh has been keeping in touch with the team by sending them videos. He could also visit his teammates Wednesday as USF prepares to play at Tulsa on Friday night. But, for the time being, he won’t be playing unless it’s online casino games NetBet.

Da Prato stated Tuesday that “he’s got that big smile that he has and he’s clearly a very healthy young man.” We hope that this will help him move forward.

Marsh took over the starting position last month when Gerry Bohanon was injured and had to retire. Marsh was 58 of 112 for 827 yards with eight touchdowns, two interceptions, and one interception.

True freshman Byrum Brown will be making his debut in the professional ranks after suffering an injury. Three-star North Carolina native Byrum Brown has attempted just five passes, but he threw his first touchdown last Thursday.

Da Prato stated that Brown is physically fit and strong, with a 6-foot-3, 206-pound frame. Although Brown would likely have been USF’s 4th quarterback at preseason camp, Da Prato stated that he quickly demonstrated his leadership ability.

Da Prato stated, “I expect him to continue doing that today and tomorrow, right on through Friday night.”
