Coming back from a 10-point deficit at the half, the Kansas City Chiefs earned a 38-35 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

This is their second NFL championship in the last four seasons.

Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 21 of 27 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns, while tight end Travis Kelce caught all six of his targets for 81 yards and a touchdown.

The Chiefs scored on all of their second-half possessions and posted a defensive fumble return touchdown in the first half to keep up with the Eagles despite Philadelphia dominating the first two-quarters of the game.

“I was proud because, I mean, I talked a little bit but it was everybody. It wasn’t like I was the only person talking in that locker room and we just challenged each other to leave everything out there. I don’t want to play tight in the first half but you didn’t see that same joy that we play with and I want you guys to just know that everything we work for is for this moment. You have to enjoy this moment. You can’t let the moment overtake you, and I thought the guys did that and in the second half they fought to the very end and that’s all you can ask is for guys to leave everything they have on the football field,” said Mahomes on what the team talked about during halftime.

The Chiefs became the second team in NFL history to come back from a double-digit halftime deficit to win the Super Bowl.
