Podcast host Joe Rogan shared on Wednesday that Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign passed up an invitation to record an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience while she was in Texas, where Rogan’s studio is based.
Rogan explained on social media that the Harris team had requested he travel to meet her, but he believed it would be best for her to visit his Austin studio instead.

In a recent episode, Rogan expressed his disappointment, noting that he had offered an “open invitation” for Harris to appear on the show at any time during her visit to Texas. “I told them, ‘Anytime,’” Rogan said. “I’d do it at any hour she wanted, just to have a conversation.”
Rogan’s invitation follows a recent appearance by former President Donald Trump, whose episode quickly amassed over 40 million views on YouTube.
According to Rogan, Harris’s team reached out after hearing about Trump’s participation, but logistical and control-related issues prevented the interview.
“Like, my whole goal with her and with him is just talk. Just sit, have a conversation like a human being,” Rogan said. “You find out things about people, you get a sense of them, at least, a real sense. That was it. I don’t give a fuck what we talk about. I really don’t. I just want to talk to you. Who the f*ck are you?”

Harris’s campaign reportedly considered appearing on the podcast as a way to reach male voters, a demographic where she trails Trump by 11 points, though she leads among female voters.
The race between Harris and Trump remains close, with Trump maintaining a slight lead in key swing states, according to RealClearPolling averages.
