CLEARWATER, Fla. – A jet ski collision in Clearwater Pass sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries this afternoon.
Clearwater Fire & Rescue and Clearwater Police responded to the scene just west of the Sand Key Bridge around 2:40 p.m. after receiving reports of a jet ski crash.

Upon arrival, first responders found that a jet ski had collided with another vessel. The adult male rider of the jet ski was brought onto a nearby boat and transported back to shore. He was then taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg as a trauma alert, indicating the severity of his injuries.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash. No further details about the incident or the individuals involved have been released at this time.
