JD Vance, who once called himself a “never Trump guy” in 2016, is now facing renewed scrutiny as Donald Trump’s running mate, thanks to a viral TikTok clip.
The 22-second audio sample, created by DJ duo Casa Di and Steve Terrell, features Vance’s past comments from a 2016 interview with Charlie Rose, where he says, “I’m a never Trump guy. I never liked him.”
The duo mixed Vance’s voice with Petey Pablo’s hit “Freek-a-Leek,” creating a catchy track that has taken TikTok by storm, soundtracking over 8,500 videos and amassing more than 40 million views in the past month.

Kentucky Gov. Beshear Makes “Vile” Remark About VP Candidate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance Family Member And Rape
Democratic Governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, made a contentious statement on Tuesday, suggesting that Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance might reconsider his abortion stance if a member of his own family were raped and became pregnant.
During an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Beshear critiqued Vance’s characterization of pregnancies resulting from rape as merely “inconvenient.”
“J.D. Vance calls pregnancy resulting from rape inconvenient. Like inconvenience is traffic. Make him go through this,” Beshear said.
“Someone being violated, someone being harmed and then telling them that they don’t have options after that. That fails any test of decency, of humanity. But here’s the thing, it also shows they don’t have any empathy at all. And a president and a vice president has to have empathy. You got be able to put yourself in a position that you’ve never been in to try to understand somebody else because you’ve got to be a president and a vice president for all of America, not just where you are from,” said Beshear.

“After speaking on the DNC main stage last night, Harris campaign surrogate Governor Andy Beshear went on national television this morning and explicitly called for a member of Senator Vance’s family to be raped. His comments are disgusting, vile, and should not be tolerated in American politics. We call on Kamala Harris to immediately repudiate Governor Beshear’s comments and demonstrate that regardless of partisan disagreements, this kind of violent rhetoric has no place in our public discourse,” said William Martin, Vance Communications Director, in a statement to the Tampa Free Press.
Vance responded on X, saying, “What the hell is this? Why is @AndyBeshearKY wishing that a member of my family would get raped?!? What a disgusting person.”
