Democratic strategist James Carville suggested during a Wednesday video that wealthy Jewish Republicans overlook alleged Nazism within the party because of their financial greed.
Elon Musk reposted and subsequently removed an X post in March stating genocidal dictators such as Adolf Hitler did not “murder millions of people,” and instead asserting “public sector employees” did the killing, Haaretz reported. Despite Musk removing it, Carville on his podcast “Politics War Room” appeared to imply that the repost is an example of Nazism within the Republican Party.

“Let me say what Elon Musk said like in the last 30 days. He said Hitler was not responsible for the Holocaust; it was really government employees,” Carville said. “In other words, the postman did it. And what cracks me up is a lot of these — I’ll just say it bluntly — a lot of, you see a lot of these really rich Jewish guys in like Manhattan, and they can’t be Democrats because of the students at Columbia.”
Columbia University’s campus experienced antisemitic protests following the commencement of the Israel-Hamas War on Oct. 7, 2023.
“Okay, so you can be a Republican, that the most powerful person in that party exonerates Hitler,” Carville continued. “That’s what happened, okay? That is exactly what happened.”
Co-host Al Hunt chimed in to say that President Donald Trump dined with “an avowed Nazi” at his Mar-a-Lago residence. Trump reportedly had dinner in November 2022 with rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and white nationalist Nick Fuentes. Trump stated that Ye “arrived with a guest whom I had never met and knew nothing about,” Axios reported.

“‘I don’t like the president of Columbia. I can’t go along with this.’ They literally fucking people that say that, and of course we know what they really saying: ‘I’ll do anything to get a tax cut. I don’t care about all that history and everything. No, I want my tax cut now. I need my money.’ It’s unbelievable,” Carville added.
Trump received 33% of the Jewish vote during the 2024 election, according to Fox News voter analysis.
