JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is reviewing videos circulating online that appear to show officers using force against fans during the Florida-Georgia football game at EverBank Stadium on Saturday.

The videos depict two separate incidents:

  • In one video, two officers are seen struggling with two spectators in the stands, while surrounding fans can be heard yelling at the officers to stop.
  • A second video shows an altercation between a man and two officers that escalates into a physical confrontation. The man is left with a bloodied face and is handcuffed after being repeatedly tased.

Neither video reveals the events leading up to the altercations.

Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan acknowledged the videos, stating, “I’m aware of several disturbing videos circulating from (Saturday’s) game… We are awaiting the outcome of that investigation.”
