A federal grand jury has indicted Robert Howard III, also known as “Kenny Kapps,” on two counts of distributing 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine. If convicted, the 22-year-old Jacksonville resident faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a potential life sentence in federal prison.

The indictment also seeks the forfeiture of $2,250 in U.S. currency, allegedly proceeds from the offenses.

It is important to note that an indictment is merely an accusation, and Howard is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

The case is a result of a collaborative investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Aakash Singh and Kirwinn Mike.
