The Mega Millions jackpot is now on track to be the largest in Mega Millions U.S. history after no winner took home the top prize on Friday.
According to the Mega Millions website, the next jackpot soured to a historic $1.55 billion.
If the estimate is on target, the top prize will beat the previous record of $1.537 billion that was won by someone who bought a ticket in South Carolina in 2018.
The winning numbers in Friday night’s drawing were 11-30-45-52-56 with a Mega Ball of 20.

The last time the jackpot was won was in a drawing on April 18. In Mega Millions, the jackpot rolls over each time there is a drawing, and the jackpot is not won.
Mega Millions crossed the $1 billion mark last weekend. It’s the fifth time that the top prize has passed $1 billion.
Jackpot prize winners can receive their winnings in 30 annual installments or as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $550.2 million. Jackpot prizes must be claimed within 60 days of the winning jackpot draw to receive the cash option.
Winners have 180 days from the applicable drawing to claim their prize. In addition to the jackpot prize, players can win lower-tier prizes ranging from two dollars up to $5 million by matching any of the non-jackpot-winning combinations.
This series of MEGA MILLIONS jackpot rollovers has generated more than $45.1 million for education in Florida.
