The notorious January 6th Capitol rioter “QAnon Shaman,” Jacob Chansley, has submitted preliminary documents to the Arizona Secretary of State’s office suggesting that he intends to run as a libertarian in the state’s 8th congressional district.
Chansley was best known for marching through the Capitol shirtless and clad in a buffalo headdress.
He was among the first thirty rioters to break through the Capitol walls and enter the Senate chamber.

Chansley was given a 41-month prison sentence two years ago for a variety of offenses, including violent entry, disorderly and disruptive behavior, and disruption of an official proceeding (the certification of electoral votes in a democratic election).
Chansley was released in March and sent to a halfway house in Phoenix 14 months before his sentence expired.
