Recent Israeli strikes on Iranian defense infrastructure have delivered targeted damage to critical military sites, potentially hampering Iran’s ballistic missile production and weakening its air defense capabilities.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) focused their strikes on specific military and industrial facilities, aiming to minimize collateral damage and casualties while strategically impairing Iran’s missile capabilities.
Satellite images published on October 28 revealed that one Israeli strike targeted a Ghadir radar site near Ahvaz in Khuzestan Province.

The Ghadir radar, a critical element of Iran’s air defense system alongside the Russian S-300, can detect ballistic missiles up to 1,100 kilometers away and aircraft at 600 kilometers, playing a vital role in Iran’s defense network.
Additional satellite images from October 29 indicated that the Shahroud Missile Facility in Semnan Province, operated by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), also sustained damage.
This facility, used for solid-propellant ballistic missile production and space launches, has previously launched satellites like Soraya and Chamran-1 into orbit. Experts suggest that the facility engages in solid propellant mixing, a process essential for advanced missile production.

The strikes also targeted equipment at the Taksaz Industrial Innovators Engineering Company (TIECO) factory in Tehran, known for producing high-viscosity material mixers since the 1990s.
This equipment is essential for solid fuel missile production, signaling Israel’s aim to degrade Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities. Israeli sources suggest that Iran may need a year or more to replace the damaged equipment, potentially stalling missile production in the interim.
