A 21-year-old Iowa man, Nathaniel Bevers-McGivney, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Michele Jackson.
Jackson was reported missing in Farnhamville, Iowa, on September 22nd, and her body was found the following morning.

Bevers-McGivney was initially arrested for abuse of a corpse but the charges were upgraded after Jackson’s body was discovered. The criminal complaint alleges that Bevers-McGivney premeditatedly killed Jackson by cutting her throat with a knife.
Reports indicate that Jackson’s mother and sister found Bevers-McGivney covered in blood and in possession of the victim’s scooter and other belongings.
The relationship between the suspect and victim prior to the incident remains unclear.
