Interstate Exit Ramps On I-275 And I-4 Closing Nightly Next Week

TAMPA, Fla. – Beginning Sunday, June 2, through Thursday, June 6, the Florida Department of Transportation will implement nightly interstate exit ramp closures on I-275 and I-4 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Locations of temporary ramp closures:

I-275 northbound exit ramp to Sligh Avenue (Exit 48) to close from 11 p.m., Sunday, June 2, to 5 a.m., Monday, June 3; motorists to use Bird Street as the alternate route.

I-275 southbound exit ramp to Sligh Avenue (Exit 48) to close from 11 p.m., Sunday, June 2, to 5 a.m., Monday, June 3; motorists to use Hillsborough Avenue as the alternate route.

 I-4 eastbound and westbound exit ramps to northbound and southbound US 301 (Exit 7) to close from 11 p.m., Monday, June 3, to 5 a.m., Tuesday, June 4; motorists to use Orient Road as the alternate route.

 I-4 westbound exit ramp to US 92/Hillsborough Avenue (Exit 7) to close from 11 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, to 5 a.m., Wednesday, June 5; motorists to use Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard as the alternate route.

 I-4 eastbound and westbound exit ramps to Mango Road (Exit 10) to close from 11 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, to 5 a.m., Thursday, June 6; motorists to use Mc Intosh Road as the alternate route.

 I-4 eastbound exit ramp to Thonotosassa Road (Exit 19) to close from 11 p.m., Thursday, June 6, to 5 a.m., Friday, June 7; motorists to use SR 39 (Alexander Street) as the alternate route.

 I-4 westbound exit ramp to Thonotosassa Road (Exit 19) to close from 11 p.m., Thursday, June 6, to 5 a.m., Friday, June 7; motorists to use Branch Forbes Road as the alternate route.

During these nighttime closures, advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should anticipate delays during these detours.

These temporary ramp closures are necessary for crews to perform maintenance activities.
