Chad Michael Sadlowski, a 34-year-old respiratory therapist from St. Johns, Florida, has been sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in federal prison for attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity.
The sentencing, handed down on February 5, 2025, follows an investigation by the Northeast Florida Inter-agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force (INTERCEPT) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Jacksonville.
According to court records, Sadlowski engaged in sexually explicit conversations with an undercover detective posing as the uncle of an eight-year-old girl on a messaging application between April 25 and April 28, 2024.
During these exchanges, Sadlowski expressed his desire to have sex with the child and agreed to meet at a local gas station. He was arrested while en route to the meeting, dressed in his hospital scrubs, and later admitted to traveling to meet the “child” for sexual purposes.
Following his arrest, Sadlowski also confessed to soliciting sexually explicit photos and videos from minors on the same messaging platform. A search warrant executed on his phone revealed additional child exploitation materials in his possession.
In addition to his prison term, Sadlowski was ordered to serve a 10-year term of supervised release and must register as a sex offender. He pleaded guilty to the charges in October 2024.

“This investigation highlights the ever-present threat for children online, and this predator’s reprehensible actions demonstrate a coldhearted disregard for the life and well-being of a child,” said Tim Hemker, HSI Jacksonville Assistant Special Agent in Charge. “HSI, alongside our partners with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and the rest of the Northeast Florida INTERCEPT Task Force, are committed to protecting our children from harm.”
The case was investigated by HSI Jacksonville, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and the INTERCEPT Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney John Cannizzaro prosecuted the case.

The INTERCEPT Task Force is a unique public-private partnership that brings together local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as nonprofit organizations, to combat human trafficking and child exploitation. Supported by Operation Light Shine and donors like the Tim Tebow Foundation, the task force enhances the ability of law enforcement to address the complexities of these crimes and provide resources to victims.
HSI Jacksonville, part of HSI Tampa’s area of responsibility, covers more than 51,600 square miles across 58 counties in Florida. The region includes five of the state’s largest cities, 15 commercial service airports, and 11 seaports, making it a critical area for combating exploitation and trafficking.
