PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Chien Pham, 65, of St. Petersburg, is celebrating a $1 million windfall after claiming a top prize in the Florida Lottery’s 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game. Pham claimed his prize at the Lottery’s Tampa District Office and opted for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.

Pham purchased his winning ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 6980 40th Street North in Pinellas Park. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.

The 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game, priced at $50, offers players a chance to win the largest top prize ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off: $25 million. The game also boasts the best odds of becoming an instant millionaire. With over $1.66 billion in total cash prizes, the overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.23.  

Scratch-off games are a significant part of the Florida Lottery’s revenue, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
