MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 15-year-old male from Key West, Florida, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the sexual battery of a 16-year-old female earlier this year.
David Terrance Goodman has been charged with sexual battery.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Major Crimes Detectives investigated an incident that occurred in February 2025 at a party on Big Coppitt Key. Detectives determined that both Goodman and the victim consumed alcohol at the party, and the sexual battery occurred while the victim was incapacitated due to alcohol consumption.

Goodman was already in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice on unrelated battery charges when he was charged in this case.
The Sheriff’s Office stated that the case remains ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
“This type of crime will not be tolerated in our community regardless of the suspect’s age,” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay. “Though we typically do not name juveniles in less serious cases, it is important to educate parents about underage suspects in serious cases who are being arrested and why.”
