A Florida doctor has been arrested on battery charges following allegations of inappropriate conduct with a patient at a medical facility in Ocala.
According to the Ocala Police Department, Officer Bellamy responded to the Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida, located at 2105 SW 20th Place, on March 24th, after a report of battery involving a medical professional and a patient.

The victim, a woman in her 50s, alleged that her doctor, Jose Jacob, 65, inappropriately touched her during her appointment. She reported that Jacob asked inappropriate personal questions and that, following her examination, Jacob allegedly hugged her closely and kissed her twice without her consent.
During the investigation, police interviewed several individuals at the scene, including Dr. Jacob. While Jacob initially denied the allegations, he later provided conflicting statements. Further investigation also revealed prior allegations of inappropriate conduct by Jacob at both the current location and another location in North Carolina.

Based on the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Jose Jacob. He was arrested by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office on March 28th.
The Ocala Police Department is asking anyone who has experienced similar behavior involving Jose Jacob or witnessed inappropriate conduct to come forward and contact the department.
