A Mexican national residing illegally in the U.S. has been arrested in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, for firing a gun from his vehicle. Jose Cruz Michua, 29, is accused of stopping his pickup truck in front of a residence and firing two shots into the air.
Witnesses reported an ongoing dispute between the parties involved.

Walton County Sheriff’s deputies found a spent shell casing at the scene and later matched it to another casing found in Michua’s truck. He was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a detainer on Michua. He was issued a $10,000 bond.
If he posts bond, ICE will have 48 hours to take him into custody. Otherwise, he will remain in local custody until his legal proceedings in Walton County are complete, after which ICE will have 48 hours to assume custody.
