A man from Sandpoint, Idaho, has been charged in federal court for allegedly threatening to kill former President Donald Trump.
Warren Jones Crazybull, 64, reportedly made at least nine phone calls to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida on July 31, during which he threatened to kill the former president.
These calls came just weeks after an assassination attempt on Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, where he was shot in the right ear.
According to a criminal complaint and affidavit, one of Crazybull’s calls included a threat to “find Trump” and a claim that he was “coming down to Bedminster tomorrow,” referring to the town in New Jersey where Trump National Golf Club is located.
Crazybull was tracked to Montana and arrested on August 1 in connection with the threats. He was formally indicted in Idaho federal court on August 20. A trial date has been set for October 28.
