U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Adan Desederio Pavon-Andino, a 30-year-old Honduran national living in the U.S. illegally, on February 5 in Thornton, Colorado. Pavon-Andino has a history of criminal convictions and is currently facing multiple felony charges, including drug distribution and firearm possession.

Pavon-Andino has two prior convictions for felony marijuana possession and is now charged with four counts of felony possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, felony re-entry into the U.S., and being an illegally present alien in possession of a firearm.

According to ICE, Pavon-Andino was previously removed from the U.S. but unlawfully re-entered at an unknown date and location.

“I don’t think I can be more clear: ICE is not going to tolerate those who peddle drugs and steal guns in our communities,” said Robert Guadian, Field Office Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Denver. “We’re glad to partner with the DEA in executing a lawful order to effect the arrest of Pavon-Andino. He will face justice and then removal from the United States.”

The arrest was carried out as part of a coordinated effort between ICE and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Pavon-Andino’s case highlights the ongoing collaboration between federal agencies to target individuals who pose a threat to public safety through drug trafficking, illegal firearm possession, and immigration violations.

Pavon-Andino’s criminal history and pending charges underscore the risks associated with illegal re-entry and the challenges faced by law enforcement in addressing repeat offenders. ICE has emphasized its commitment to apprehending and removing individuals who violate U.S. immigration laws and engage in criminal activity.

The man will remain in ICE custody pending the resolution of his criminal charges and subsequent immigration proceedings. Once his criminal case is concluded, Pavon-Andino is expected to be removed from the U.S. as part of ICE’s mission to enforce immigration laws and protect public safety.
