A Brazilian national accused of rape has been apprehended by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

Willian Robert Vasconcelos-Dos Santos, 21, was arrested by ICE officers on January 21st, following his arrest by the Falmouth Police Department on rape charges.

“Willian Robert Vasconcelos-Dos Santos is charged with horrifically victimizing a Massachusetts resident and represents a significant threat to the residents of our communities,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia H. Hyde. “ICE Boston will continue to prioritize public safety by arresting and removing illegal alien offenders from our New England communities.”

Vasconcelos-Dos Santos illegally entered the United States near San Diego in April 2024. He was subsequently released on an order of recognizance after being served with a notice to appear before an immigration judge.

Following his arrest on the rape charge, ICE lodged an immigration detainer with the Falmouth District Court. The court cooperated with ICE, releasing Vasconcelos-Dos Santos into ICE custody. He remains in ICE custody pending further legal proceedings.

ICE encourages the public to report any suspicious activity by calling 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423).
