The southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 31) to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sunday, March 12 through Tuesday, March 14. The Ulmerton Road (SR-688) ramp will remain open during this closure.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 31) to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sunday, March 12 through Tuesday, March 14. The Ulmerton Road (SR-688) ramp will remain open during this closure.

This ramp closure is necessary for crews to perform asphalt paving work as part of the Ulmerton Road (SR-688) and Main Street (SR-580) repaving projects in Pinellas County.

Construction activities are expected to finish in the fall of 2023.

During this ramp closure, motorists will exit I-275 using Ulmerton Road (Exit 31), make a U-turn at Carillion Parkway, and continue east on Ulmerton Road (SR-688) towards the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street ramp.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through this area. Motorists should expect delays and congestion during this detour.
