TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers heading into downtown Tampa from southbound I-275 should be aware of a ramp closure scheduled for tonight, February 17th, 2025.
The southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 45A) to Downtown East-West, which provides access to Jefferson Street and Ashley Drive, will be closed from 10:00 PM tonight until 5:00 AM tomorrow morning, weather permitting.

Detour:
Southbound motorists will be detoured around the work zone by exiting the interstate at Exit 45B, turning right onto Floribraska Avenue, then left onto Tampa Street, and continuing south to access Scott Street, Laurel Street, and Cass Street.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be in place to guide drivers. Motorists are urged to use caution in the work zone and be aware of construction workers.
This closure is necessary for crews to perform maintenance activities as part of the ongoing Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project, which is expected to be completed in 2027.
