TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa residents may notice a change in their upcoming utility bills as Hurricane Milton debris hinders meter reading. City of Tampa Utilities announced that until conditions improve, customers will receive estimated bills based on their average daily usage over the past 12 months.
Crews are actively assessing neighborhoods to determine when normal meter reading can resume. Once debris is cleared and meters are accessible, actual readings will be taken and any discrepancies will be reconciled. No late fees will be charged during this estimation period.

Customers with questions can contact the Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The City will provide updates on the situation as it evolves.
