Hooters Gives Back To Several Tampa Bay Area Charities For The Holidays

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The eleven Tampa Bay area Hooters locations are spreading joy this holiday season.  The Original Hooters locations donated to several organizations, including The Arc Tampa Bay, Children’s Cancer Center, Pasco County Foster Adoptive Parent Association, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Metropolitan Ministries, and Aging Solutions.  

The team is making a difference in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Hernando counties in partnership with multiple local entities.

Metropolitan Ministries – Hooters Calendar Girls volunteered with Metropolitan Ministries at the Holiday Engagement Pop Up tent in Clearwater. Hooters employees helped with the distribution of food and toys for families in need on December 19.

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital – Hooters donated $2,500 towards the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital “All Kids Wonderland 2023” on December 16. Original Hooters representatives and two Hooters Girls from the 4th Street Hooters location in St. Pete attended the event and wrapped presents for the families.  Participants were able to pick out gifts for anyone in their family, including kids that are currently patients at John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. 

Pasco County Foster Adoptive Parent Association – The HMC Hospitality Group Corporate Office and the Spring Hill Hooters, Port Richey Hooters, Clearwater Hooters, John’s Pass Hooters, 4th Street Hooters, Odessa Hooters, Port Richey Hooters and Spring Hill Hooters locations received tags for the Pasco County Foster Adoptive Parent Association Angel Program to collect gifts for local foster children and adoptive kids.  As a company they donated gifts to over 160 children.

Children’s Cancer Center –  Brandon Hooters, Hillsborough Hooters, North Tampa Hooters and South Tampa Hooters locations received tags for the Holiday Adoption Gift Program at the Children’s Cancer Center.  Hooters restaurants collected gifts for over 50 families who have a child going through cancer treatment.  This program was designed to alleviate the financial and time-constraints of shopping for the holidays. Families who have a child on active treatment for cancer or a chronic blood disorder are matched with community donors to receive holiday gifts.

The Arc Tampa Bay – Hooters provided wings and clam chowder served by four Hooters Girls from Clearwater Hooters at the annual Arc Holiday party on December 15.  Hootie also attended. The Arc’s mission is to support and empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Hooters has supported the Arc Tampa Bay holiday party for over 21 years.

Aging Solutions, Inc. –Elves for Elders Pinellas- Tags were put on trees in the Original Hooters location in Clearwater and the HMC Hospitality Group corporate office. Aging Solutions provides services throughout central Florida to individuals with developmental disabilities, the elderly, Veterans, those who suffer from chronic mental illness, those who suffer from progressive cognitive loss due to dementia or other neurological disorders and traumatic brain injuries.
