RIVERVIEW, Fla. – A motorcycle thief was apprehended in Riverview early Saturday morning thanks to the assistance of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Aviation Section.
On March 22, 2025, at approximately 4 a.m., HCSO Aviation responded to Tranquility Lake Circle to assist ground units in locating a suspect who had stolen a motorcycle. From the air, the aviation team guided K9 units and deputies to the fleeing suspect.

Guillermo Garcia Bofill, 39, Homestead, was arrested and faces multiple charges, including two counts of Grand Theft Motor Vehicle, Resisting Officer Without Violence, Possession of Burglary Tools, Tampering With Physical Evidence, and Criminal Mischief $1,000 or More.
According to jail records, Garcia-Bofill works as a mechanic for City Hawk Towing.
“Let this be a warning to criminals that they won’t be able to steal and get away in Hillsborough County,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our Aviation Section did a fantastic job staying on this suspect until he was taken into custody.”
