MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A Homestead man is facing felony charges after being accused of stealing over $15,000 from his former employer in Key Largo. Angel Milagro Martinez, 25, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with multiple felonies related to the theft.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Martinez allegedly used his former employer’s credit card for personal transactions totaling more than $15,000. The alleged thefts occurred while Martinez was employed at a marine business in Key Largo.

The investigation began in February 2024, and warrants were subsequently issued for Martinez’s arrest. He was taken into custody on Tuesday and booked into jail.
Martinez faces charges of:
- Possession of Another Person’s Identification
- Grand Theft
- Money Laundering
- Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card
- Scheming to Defraud
