Metro Nashville Police are investigating the discovery of human remains found Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans.
According to police, crews working on an ongoing construction project in Lot M of the stadium stumbled upon the remains inside a tent.
Initial reports suggested the body was wrapped in a tarp. However, authorities later clarified that a tarp was found nearby but not directly associated with the remains.

The deceased has been identified as a homeless man who had not been seen for several days. Police say his loved ones had been searching for him and were attempting to locate him at the time of the discovery.
