ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Police in St. Petersburg are asking for the public’s help in locating a hit-and-run driver who struck a man after he fell off his electric scooter on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on March 2nd at the intersection of 34th Street North and 22nd Avenue North. A 62-year-old man was riding his scooter southbound on 34th Street N when he fell while attempting to turn east onto 22nd Avenue N.

A black SUV traveling behind the scooter ran over the man and fled the scene eastbound on 22nd Avenue N. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
