WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — The Winter Haven Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a hit-and-run driver who struck a parked vehicle, leaving a young mother without transportation.
The incident occurred on Dec. 5, 2024, at approximately 10:43 p.m. in front of a home on Lake Smart Circle in Winter Haven.
A dark-colored, late-model Jeep Gladiator with distinctive features—including large wheels, a lifted suspension, and changing-color neon lights under the frame—struck a sedan parked legally along the street.
The collision caused significant damage to the parked vehicle, but fortunately, no one was inside at the time.
The vehicle’s owner, a young mother, now faces a challenging situation as she is left without transportation for herself and her children. Police believe someone in the community may have information about the Jeep or its driver.
