Hit-And-Run Crash On Ulmerton Road In Largo Leaves Two Injured

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A hit-and-run crash on Ulmerton Road left two people injured and authorities searching for the driver of a white sedan.

The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 7:25 pm in the westbound lanes of Ulmerton Road, east of US-19. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a white sedan, possibly a Toyota with pre-existing rear-end damage, failed to stop for traffic and collided with the rear of a Volkswagen Beetle.

The impact propelled the Beetle into a Toyota sedan that was stopped in front of it.

The driver of the white sedan fled the scene, leaving the other two vehicles and their occupants behind.

The driver of the Beetle, a 62-year-old male from Belleair, sustained serious injuries, while his 55-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries. The driver and passenger of the Toyota sedan were not injured.

Witnesses described the driver of the white sedan as a white female with short blonde hair and glasses.

FHP is asking anyone with information about the crash or the identity of the fleeing driver to call *FHP (*347) or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
