HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A Kia Sedona was overturned in a creek near Old US-41A and US-41 after the driver lost control and crashed into a guardrail.

Witnesses reported the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the accident.

The driver fled the scene on foot, abandoning the unregistered vehicle with an unassigned license plate in the waterway.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the incident or the identity of the driver to contact the Florida Highway Patrol (*FHP) or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
