HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – In order to make COVID-19 coronavirus vaccinations as easy as possible, individuals can now get first doses of the vaccine without an appointment at Hillsborough County’s public locations.
To expedite the process and save time at the vaccination site, individuals are encouraged to go to patientportalfl.com to open an account before arriving. However, creating an account beforehand is not required.
Hillsborough County sites that are open the week of April 26 for first doses include:
- Larry Sanders Sports Complex, 5855 S. 78th St. in the Progress Village area – this drive-thru location is open today through Friday, April 30, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- TPepin’s Hospitality Centre, 4121 N. 50th St. in Tampa – this walk-thru indoor location is open from Wednesday, April 28 through Friday, April 30, also from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The TPepin’s site should be accessed from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Operations at the Ed Radice Sports Complex and Vance Vogel Sports Complex vaccination sites are focused on providing second doses to those with previously scheduled appointments.
Florida residency is required. As a reminder, individuals can create an account first at the CDR Health Pro portal at patientportalfl.com to save time at the site. It takes only a few minutes to create an account. The registration process is simple and easy.
Vaccine eligibility statewide has expanded to all Floridians as prescribed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Sites run by Hillsborough County dispense only the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, which can be given to individuals 16 years of age and older.
There is no out-of-pocket cost to be vaccinated. A doctor’s note or prescription is not required. Health insurance information is being collected in accordance with federal guidance; however, you will not be asked to pay a copay or deductible. Individuals who do not have health insurance will still be vaccinated.
