HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County motorists should brace for significant traffic disruptions next week as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 announces a comprehensive schedule of lane closures for various roadways.

From Sunday, March 23rd, through Saturday, March 29th, numerous interstate and state road segments will experience nightly and daytime lane closures for ongoing construction and maintenance projects.

Drivers are strongly advised to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time.

Key Areas Affected:

  • I-4: Lane closures between County Line Road and McIntosh Road nightly.
  • I-75: Multiple lane closures along I-75, including near the Alafia River Bridge, from Progress Boulevard to Woodberry Road, and at the SR 574 interchange. Ramps onto Fletcher Avenue will also experience closures.
  • I-275 (Howard Frankland Bridge): Nightly lane closures between Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, and on the southbound entrance ramp from SR 60 (Memorial Highway).
  • US 301: Lane closures on US 301 from Balm Road/Paseo Al Mar Boulevard to Whitt Road (northbound) and from Wildgrass Meadow Drive to Simmons Loop.
  • SR 60 (Memorial Highway): Various lane closures on SR 60, including westbound and eastbound closures between George J. Bean Parkway and the Veterans Expressway/I-275 entrance ramp, and closures from US 41 to US 301 and from Clarence Gordon Jr. Road to the Polk County Line.
  • SR 582 (Fowler Avenue): Nightly lane closures from 51st Street to Riverhills Drive.
  • Central Avenue & Ola Avenue: Daytime lane closures for multiple days.
  • Scott Street: Nightly lane closure at the entrance ramp onto I-275 (eastbound).
  • Fletcher Avenue: Day and night lane closures from Hidden River Parkway to I-75.

Important Reminders:

  • Nighttime closures generally occur between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM, but specific times vary.
  • Daytime closures are also scheduled for certain locations.
  • Weather conditions may affect the work schedule.
  • Drivers are urged to use caution and follow posted signs.
