HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County officials will host a news conference at 2 p.m. regarding Tropical Storm Ian preparedness.
There will be a briefing from County Administrator Bonnie Wise, Hillsborough County Office of Emergency Management Director Timothy Dudley, and other elected officials.

Update on Sandbag Operations. Operations now closing at 7 p.m.
Hillsborough County is making sandbags available to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25. All County parks and preserves, including recreation centers, will be closed today to support sandbag operations.

Sandbags will be available at the following locations from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25:
- Edward Medard Conservation Park, 6140 Turkey Creek Rd., Plant City, FL 33567
- E.G. Simmons Conservation Park, 2401 19th Ave. NW, Ruskin, FL 33570
- Ed Radice Park, 14720 Ed Radice Dr., Tampa, FL 33626
Hillsborough County residents are eligible for a maximum of 10 sandbags per family. Residents must show ID verifying they live in the County; a driver’s license or utility bill will serve as proper identification.
