TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Mosquito Management Services has announced plans for aerial spraying to control adult mosquito populations in South Tampa. The operation is scheduled for the night of July 13, 2024, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., covering a total area of 17,458 acres.
The targeted area is bordered by Swann Avenue to the north, Marina Bay Drive on MacDill Air Force Base to the south, Bayshore Boulevard to the east, and Old Tampa Bay to the west.

Dibrom, the chemical used for mosquito control, will be applied by aircraft. In the event of inclement weather, the spraying may be rescheduled to either July 14 or July 15.
